How we got to where we are today
Founded in October 1995, Kujtesa has developed itself into a major national telecom provider of IP-based services to organizations, businesses and individual users. Kujtesa was founded at a time when there was a wide supply gap of computing products and services combined with an increasing demand for computer use for businesses and households. In a minuscule office, the management team of the company specialized in computer sales became very successful in providing computers to its consumers. Growing their business from scratch was found to be intensely creative, stimulating, and consequently, rewarding.
Overcoming Obstacles
During the 1999 conflict in Kosovo, Kujtesa lost most of its assets; this meant the company would either shut down or start a new era from scratch again. However, determined managing team regrouped again and restarted the business by reevaluating the IT market needs in Kosovo and the region. The company started providing Internet services and implementation of local area networks. Within a short period of time, Kujtesa managed to establish a reputable name by delivering dedicated customer service at a competitive price. Since then, Kujtesa has managed to provide its services to almost 90% of the territory of Kosovo.
Growth and expansion
Kujtesa’s Administration and Management functions operate from its headquarters in downtown Pristina. Kujtesa has other facilities as well, that operate in Pristina and provide equipment installations and technical services.
Kujtesa is the first company in Kosovo to deploy commercial installment of the Wireless Internet Access and Wireless Area Networks all over the territory. Kujtesa has developed solutions to provide every customer with accessible, effective, and reliable communications.
Furthermore, Kujtesa is the first company in Kosovo to implement the latest technical equipment, the WiMAX technology.
